3. Dinosaur Pile-Up - Growing Pains

Sometimes you play an album and withing a few seconds you think, "This is going to be good."  This was one of those for me.  With some references to the Pixies, a little bit of Weezer, and seriously a lot of Foo Fighters sound, this album was an instant hit for me.  My music tastes were definitely formed in the 90s, and this is one of those bands that I can just tell that they are the same.  A good gauge of how much I like a band is if I hear a song and think that I would really like to cover it.  That's what I felt about a few of the songs on this album.  "My Rock and Roll" and "Love to Hate Me" are great.  One of the best parts of the album, though, was the last track, "All Around the World".  Just when it seems like it's settling in to run out the last few minutes with some feedback and really subtle bass, bam, it kicks back in.  It's one of those moments that you want to just pump your fist to.

This one made it instantly into a playlist on Spotify.  I will be coming back to this a lot.
